Women's Full & New Moon Circles
|

Join us for women's Full & New Moon Circles in Southern Vermont!
Every full and new moon, all women are welcome to join us for our twice monthly moon lodge circles, created to bring together spiritually minded women in search of community ritual. Together we are journeying into women's mysteries and magic... building spiritual community and deepening our own devotional practice. Our lodges are held from 7-9:30pm in a sacred yurt in the woods, in Westminster, VT.
At moon circle we gather to talk, create ritual, meditate, share women's wisdom, tell stories, pray, connect to the earth, heal, and honor each other. Each moon has a theme according to the moon, and will include different meditations, dances, chants, rituals, and activities. By forming circles at each moon circle we are reclaiming our mysteries, our blood, our power, and each other. It is also simply a great time to meet other fabulous women!
Come with an open heart and be ready to take off your shoes and let down your hair!
Wear comfortable clothing, and bring a friend if you'd like!

Excerpt from Circle of Stones Healing Lodge - Australia
"Traditionally, amongst the early civilizations, women all experienced their moon flow (period) at the same time, and this usually centered on the time of the full moon. At these times, the women would retreat to a special lodge set away from the rest of the village or camp, and would bleed together. Their blood was sacred and it was caught in moss pillows and poured into special bowls for offerings to the Goddess and healings later. During this time, the women obtained visions and signs through meditation and so on, which were relayed to the men after the time of moon flow. They were then required to bring them to fruition. During the time of the Moon Lodge, the women would make baskets and other important tools, as well as work related to healing and fertility magic for the people...
Women today participate in moon lodge at any full moon, and it does not matter if it is a bleeding time or not. It is now recognized as a time of contemplation and honoring yourself as a woman."
